This example uses fixed-theme assets with CSS switching, including an explicit theme override. It has no external dependencies.

Small navigation bars

Use the compact variant rather than shrinking the descriptor until it is unreadable. Retain the complete company name in accessible text.

Automatic SVG alternative

The files in auto-theme/ use an internal prefers-color-scheme media query. Use fixed-theme files for print, email, or applications that do not support SVG media queries. For a website-controlled theme, the explicit CSS method above is preferable.

Before deploying

Update asset paths and the manifest's id, start_url, and scope to match your site. This manifest supplies icon metadata; it is not a complete installable application or service worker. Preview the actual site in target browsers and operating systems.
